Officials

In BC, active wheelchair basketball officials train members of the BCBOA (BC Basketball Officials Association) who are interested in officiating this wheelchair sport. Opportunities to officiate exist from the local club level to provincial, national, and international championships and competitions. See the calendar of events for upcoming tournaments.

Certification Opportunities

Referee Certification Chart (WBC)

BC Wheelchair Basketball Society (BCWBS) in partnership with Northern Adapted Sports Association is hosting a wheelchair basketball officials clinic at the Charles Jago Northern Sports Centre on September 21. If you have a basketball referee experience at any levels and are interested in trying something new and different, come out and learn this exciting sport!

Who: - 16 years old and older, female or male
- Basketball referee experience (any level)

Clinic: Saturday, Sept 21, 2019 – 1:00pm-4:45pm
@ Charles Jago Northern Sports Centre - 3333 University Way, Prince George

FREE to participate in the clinic
*Travel subsidy available for those who are from out of town

The clinic consists of:
o Classroom session on wheelchair basketball specific rules
o On-court session to officiate a few games during the Jamboree event
